A Whole New World (Miram's Plots)

Friends

Being so new to the 21st century Miram really wants to become closer to people so that she doesn't feel totally alone in a world that is strange and intimidating to her. It's pretty rough for her when she tries to start a conversation, though, so she often stumbles in her attempts.  She also tries way too hard to be outgoing and comes off more awkward than outgoing as a result.  What she could use are friends who are understanding of her precarious position and apprehension about modern things.  People who don't mind her being really out of touch with the realities of the modern world and help her adjust will win her trust and have someone who's always eager to hang out.  She could use a mentor to help her adjust to the modern world, show her the ropes of being a normal girl (or as normal as it gets being a student at a magical academy).

Enemies

This is the part where I'm the least certain.  Any real enemies she would have had are long dead, so this might have more to do with people she wouldn't get along with.  Men in general rub her the wrong way, as she was raised to consider them all to be dangerous to her very survival.  People who remind her of being a statue for countless centuries will likely get her mad, since she doesn't like being reminded of that fact or the details that go with it.

Romance

Miram once had a very dear lover whom she had studied under before falling for.  She has since tried to made peace with her lover's death since it happened before she was turned into a statue.  It still hurts to think about her too much but she can go through daily life without it hindering her too much.  There is a hole in her life without romance, though, as it had been such a big part of her existence before the statue transformation.  Though she won't come out and flirt with girls, she does really want to find someone new to share her life with as more than friends.  Anyone who is patient and understanding of her, and doesn't mind having an almost overprotective knight in shining armor at their side is a good candidate for this.  When she's in love Miram can get kind of cute, blushing at compliments from her lover and immediately returning the compliment with a better one.
